Homeworld 3 is the upcoming sequel to the GOTY-winning sci-fi RTS franchise of the same name and is set to be released on March 8th 2024.

Developed by Blackbird Interactive and published by Gearbox Publishing, the game is a continuation of the story of Homeworld 2 and sees players “assuming control and battling through fleet combat in dazzling, fully 3D space while the award-winning story unfolds on a galactic scale.”

If your PC just meets these specifications, however, you will need to be content with the lowest settings. According to Blackbird Interactive, systems that fall within these recommended specifications will provide a solid gameplay experience at 1080p, maintaining framerates but letting players bump up the in-game graphics to medium.

These recommended specs aren’t too much of a jump from the minimum requirements either, with some of the suggested components being roughly 5 years old. Although the upgrade in GPU does bring new features such as DLSS technology and the option for ray tracing via the Nvidia RTX graphics card.

However, they are a couple of generations old now and can be hard to get your hands on, so will likely not be the best option for value for money and you should instead look to newer parts.
