Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is an upcoming story-driven action-RPG and is set to be released on February 13th 2024.
Published by Focus Entertainment and developed by DON’T NOD, the game sees players solving haunting cases and battling supernatural forces in a world where decisions have dramatic consequences.
There are currently no official specifications for the game, but, given the developer’s past projects such as Vampyr and Life is Strange, we can make some educated guesses on what the hardware requirements might be.
As with any modern game release, knowing the system requirements necessary to run the game at optimal settings is vital for having an enjoyable gameplay experience. In this article, we’ll explore the PC specs required to run Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, as well as provide recommendations for those looking to upgrade their current setup.
So, read on to discover what hardware you will need to immerse yourself in the world of banishing tormented souls.
As mentioned before, these are the current minimum requirements for DON’T NOD’s previous title Vampyr. Using these, we can build on what Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden might require.
As Vampyr came out 6 years ago now, we can assume that a more modern game will have a more modern minimum baseline. But, using a system with specifications similar to these will likely get Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden running at 1080p, but most settings will have to be on low and the frame rate will likely be less than desirable.
Both the CPU and GPU options are a good few generations old now so most gaming PCs made within the last 6 or so years should be able to handle getting the game up and running.
Also, as the demands of modern games are increasing, making sure to store it on an SSD will always be a beneficial option. So, consider upgrading your system with an SSD for faster load times, even if it's a small one.
If your PC just meets these specifications, however, you will need to be content with the lowest settings. You’ll only be able to play at around 1080p at 25 FPS with pretty much all the settings on low, which is fine if you’re playing on a small monitor, but if you’re trying to play on a larger monitor or even a TV, it’s not going to look great.

A PC that we'd recommend at this level would be the Ignition Intel Core i3 GTX 1650 Gaming PC.
As the minimum specs listed are showing their age now, anything from the last 5 years will surpass it and so that’s the case with this PC.
It houses much newer components in the form of the Nvidia GTX 1650 GPU and the Intel i3 12100. Both parts are some of the best entry-level options on the market and offer excellent value for money for those looking for a more budget system that will still allow for moderate gaming.
It also comes stocked with 16GB of RAM which nowadays is usually the baseline for a gaming PC as it allows for a much smoother experience for not much more money than if you were to use 8GB.
Plus, it features a huge 1TB SSD to store the game on giving you more than enough space for a few others too.
As with the minimum specs, these are the recommended specs for Vampyr but they should serve as a good baseline to work from.
Systems that fall within these recommended specifications should provide a solid gameplay experience at 1080p, raising framerates from those achieved using the minimum specs whilst also upgrading visual integrity.
These recommended specs aren’t too much of a jump from the minimum requirements though, with only the CPUs really seeing the most change between the two lists. Overall though, the components mentioned are all showing their age now and are 8 years old in some cases, so almost any modern system will outperform it.
One major step up here though is the RAM. With 16GB, the game will achieve faster load speeds and be able to render the constantly generating environmental assets much easier.

A PC that we'd recommend at this level would be the Evolution AMD Ryzen 5 RX 7600 Gaming PC.
Just as with our PC suggestion for the minimum specs, this PC features much more recent parts, upgrading the CPU to an AMD Ryzen 5 7600 and the GPU to an AMD RX 7600. The combination of these newer parts means more future-proofing alongside a top-tier 1080p (and even 1440p) experience.
You also won’t miss out on using DLSS with this PC either as DON’T NOD has stated that Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden will also support AMD’s version, known as FSR 2, at launch.
To enjoy a game like Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden at high resolutions like 1440p and even 4K, all while having graphical settings on high, these are the specs we think your system will need to hit at the very minimum.
Like the other requirement lists, these components are also a few generations old now. So, to hit these specs without spending money on out-of-date parts, consider a system like the Chilblast Evolution Intel Core i5 RTX 4070 Gaming PC.
This Chillblast PC features the Intel Core i5 13500 processor, which offers excellent gaming performance and multitasking capabilities. Paired with the Nvidia RTX 4070, you can expect smooth gameplay at both 1440p and 4k at high settings in most games.
Plus, with full support for DLSS, it can drive up frame rates in supported games even more, and it even has some impressive ray-tracing support in compatible games
It even comes with a 1TB SSD which is ample room for your game library, plus a solid 16GB of high-speed memory.

Until DON’T NOD releases its official list of specifications for Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, these educated guesses are a good place to start, with various system requirements providing options for all budgets.
While meeting the minimum requirements will allow you to play the game, upgrading to a more powerful Chillblast PC will enhance your gaming experience, especially if you aim to play at higher resolutions and settings.
